Norman R. Belanger

Norm was born and grew up in Biddeford, Maine. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University cum laude and his law degree from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude. After graduation, Norm returned to Maine to practice law and has been practicing since 1982 with a concentration in health care law, business law and taxation. His practice involves providing legal advice to businesses from formation to sale and is often involved in guiding his healthcare clients through the myriad of regulations impacting their practices. In addition to providing services to clients he acts as the firm's managing partner. He has been included in the publication Best Lawyers in America in the area of tax law and, at the time Norm was first named in the publication, he was the youngest attorney in Maine to be included in any category. Norm is a frequent speaker on issues impacting health care providers and small business owners. His community activities have included serving on the boards of various organizations including Community Health Services and Tomorrow's Promise Children's Center (an organization which provided low cost day care for low income single parents.) He recently served on the committee which was responsible for the revision of the Maine Business Corporation Act and the Maine Professional Service Corporation Act.
